Collaborating partners
BEK collaborates on a regular basis with a number of organizations working with contemporary arts in Bergen such as Avgarde, Bergen International Festival, Bergen kunsthall, Bergen National Academy of the Arts, Bildende Kunstneres Forening Hordaland, Borealis, Galleri 3.14, Griegakademiet, Hordaland kunstsenter, Landmark, Lydgalleriet, Piksel and USF.
BEK contributes to the youth cultural educational program Signatur, initated by the Municipality of Bergen.
BEK is part of the Norwegian Production Network for Electronic Arts, alongside Atelier Nord and NOTAM in Oslo, TEKS in Trondheim and io-lab in Stavanger.
Development and research related to Jamoma and SpatDIF is an ongoing effort in collaboration with CIRMMT at McGill University in Montreal, Electrotap Inc. (US), fourMs lab at The University of Oslo (No), GMEA Centre National de Creation Musicale in Albi (Fr), GMEM Centre National de Création Musicale in Marseille (Fr) and others.
Trond Lossius is one of two national representatives in the European research project Cost Action IC0601 Sonic Interaction Design. The project is chaired by professor Davide Rocchesso from Universita IUAV di Venezia, and have participants from 17 countries. BEK is the only non-academic organization associated with the program.
The Europe Culture 2000 project At Home in Europe, carried out in 2007, was a collaboration with ISIS Arts in Newcastle, Interspace in Sofia and RIXC in Riga.
The BEK server provides numerous services to artists, projects and organization in Norway and abroad. A list of hosted domains and web sites can be found here.
